Oregon State Testing

Testing Requirements

Testing is required by the State of Oregon in grades 3, 5, 8, and 10. (The first grade is defined as when the child is seven on or before September 1). Testing must be completed no later than August 15. Students are tested on reading comprehension, language arts, and math. Individual school districts may require testing of homeschool students in other grades in order to participate in public school sports or activities.

Local Testing Options

In-person group testing in Pendleton and Hermiston typically occurs in May and June. Registration and payment are due several weeks before testing. Remote, online group testing is available on a regular basis through Basic Skills.
